Welcome Back

Following on from the enormous success of their previous army show, ‘No Such Thing’, Walking Forward presents a gripping new drama bringing home the very real and growing dangers that affect everyone on our roads.

Two brothers and their best mate, Feeder, hear news that their unit is to be deployed on operations and they will be leaving their loved ones behind.

Their mother knows only too well the dangers that face her two sons, and it becomes a difficult and worrying time for her as she awaits their return. After many arduous months, at last, she hears the news that they are coming back. The sense of relief is overwhelming. It had been such a long time since she had seen her two sons and there they were on British soil once more, driving home. Arrangements are underway for the celebrations, it will now only be a matter of hours before she welcomes them both back into her arms…

‘Welcome Back’ is yet another powerful Armed Forces-specific production, designed for any space or venue within army barracks throughout the UK, Cyprus, Germany or Balkans etc.

The target group is considered to be 18 – 24 years of age but the piece is designed to be applicable for tri-service personnel of any age or rank, including defence civilian personnel.

The design is simple, self contained and effective, with lighting, sound, plasma screen and set. All equipment is portable and able to fit on flights. Blackout facilities are preferable and gymnasiums are the only venue best avoided, for acoustic reasons.
